Lerato Islam is an applied theatre facilitator completing a PhD at the University of Auckland in migrant-centred community theatre practices. With over a decade of experience as a youth theatre leader and assistant in São Paulo, London, and Auckland, Lerato is passionate about using theatre as a tool for self-expression, skill-building, confidence, and, most importantly, fun.
